Fresh as a Mexican Rose
Dry pastel on pastel card
50 x 70 cm
2021
In painting this young woman, I sought the freshness of a rose in the sun: something alive, simple and luminous.
In her floral huipil, Fresh as a Mexican Rose gazes calmly and proudly.
