A Wind of Freedom

A Wind of Freedom Soft Pastel and Fabric 40 x 50 cm 2025 Between drawing and textile, the flowers gradually leave the fabric to enter the image. Printed patterns, hair, and lotus blossoms echo one another through lines and colours. This work explores the boundary between representation and material, as if the fabric were extending the drawing and giving it another form of reality.

Keffiyeh Heart

Keffiyeh Heart Soft Pastel 60 x 90 cm 2025 Two fabrics, one red and one black, come together in the shape of a heart. Here, drapery becomes a form of commitment. Created for an exhibition organised in Switzerland by Migros Club School in support of Médecins Sans Frontières, this work brings textile, colour and gesture together in a tension between fragility and strength.

Ah Nah !

Ah Nah ! Soft Pastel 50 x 70 cm 2021 A moment captured on the spot: a red dress lifted, a step forward, a mischievous expression. Ah nah! celebrates those spontaneous moments when movement, attitude, and clothing tell a story all on their own. A lively scene filled with freshness, playfulness, and freedom.

I Miss India

I Miss India Soft Pastel 60 x 90 cm 2021 Created after my return from India, I Miss India grew out of the sense of longing for a country that profoundly shaped my journey. The figure seen from behind, the flowing sari and her gaze turned towards an unseen elsewhere evoke distance and nostalgia. Here, fabric becomes a tangible connection to a place we have left behind, yet which continues to live within us.

Emilie’s Velvet

Emilie’s Velvet Soft Pastel 50 x 50 cm 2025 I created this portrait of Émilie du Châtelet after the 18th-century painting by Marianne Loir. My intention was not to make an exact copy, but to bring Émilie to life through my own perspective. I focused particularly on the blue velvet, its depth and luminosity, as an echo of the elegance and strength of the woman herself. The compass she holds evokes her commitment to science, while the fabric gives the portrait a more sensitive and contemporary presence.

Safira

Safira Soft Pastel 50 x 70 cm 2021 Sarita evokes the evenings I spent by the fire with a family who welcomed me into their home in a village in Chhattisgarh, India. Simple moments of conversation, smiles, and friendship. For me, this portrait retains the warmth of those encounters and of the hospitality I received far from home.

Gaze of the Sands

Gaze of the Sands Soft Pastel 50 x 70 cm 2021 Her gaze turns away, attentive and almost elusive. The warm tones of her face contrast with the blues and greys surrounding her, evoking the light and shadows of a desert landscape. Gaze of the Sands plays on this tension between the softness of the colours, the intensity of her gaze, and the quiet presence of the figure.

I Still See You

I Still See You Soft Pastel 60 x 90 cm 2021 Between the delicate veil and the black lace gloves, the face appears both revealed and protected. The transparency of the fabrics plays against the skin, creating a dialogue between elegance, mystery, and femininity. Here, textile becomes a second skin, revealing as much as it conceals.

Anna

Anna Soft Pastel 50 x 70 cm 2021 Bathed in warm light, the figure emerges against a soft, uncluttered background. Her distant gaze suggests another place, a thought, a desire. Between light and silence, this portrait evokes a moment of introspection and quiet confidence.

Marine

Marine Soft Pastel 40 x 60 cm 2025 The wind moves through her hair and brings the figure to life, while her gaze reaches into the distance. Between movement and introspection, this portrait captures a suspended moment, a presence both gentle and determined. The surrounding blue extends this sense of space and freedom.
