Created after my return from India, I Miss India grew out of the sense of longing for a country that profoundly shaped my journey. The figure seen from behind, the flowing sari and her gaze turned towards an unseen elsewhere evoke distance and nostalgia. Here, fabric becomes a tangible connection to a place we have left behind, yet which continues to live within us.
